PennsylvaniaNOVA Thrift Shop 1628 Swamp Rd. Fountainville, PA 18923 (Bucks County) 215-249-8000 www.novabucks.org Since 1974 the Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) has provided counseling services, emergency shelter and other support programs for survivors of crime and their families. The Thrift Shop, open seven days a week, offers a fundraising opportunity for NOVA, plus it provides a low-cost place for residents to shop. You may bring in donations during store hours (generally, 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). The Thrift Store prefers to receive objects and clothing that they can sell for at least $2--they normally tell people that if you spend $8 or more on it originally, we'll take it. Everything must be clean, in good working order and free of odors. You may also consign items here. Note: They DO NOT take children's toys or furniture, upholstered furniture or appliances larger than a toaster or coffee maker. All you need to do is call the pickup hotline at 215-638-1020 to arrange a pickup time, and then bag up your donations, mark them as "Purple Heart," and leave them in a mutually agreed-upon location outside your home. You will receive a receipt that you can use for tax purposes. The Purple Heart has a Burlington, New Jersey office as well. |
